Phoenix, Arizona – The Desert Junior Golf Tour is heading to Club West Golf Club this morning to kickoff the Mid Season Championship. This event is the second MAJOR on the season schedule with AJGA exemptions to hand out. Players have made the trip to Arizona from Alberta, Canada, Leduc, Canada, Indiana, Illinois, Utah, Washington, and New Mexico. Combined with some of the Valley’s most talented young golfers this will surely be a great weekend of golf.
This event is also being ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and the Tour Resource Center. Awards will be given to the Top 3 in each division as well as the famous “Go Low” custom putter cover to the individual who shoots the low final round. The champion in the Boys 15-19 division will gain one AJGA open tournament exemption and the Top 5(including ties) will recieve one performance star each.
Come out to Club West to enjoy some great golf and some beautiful weather, temperatures expected to be in the mid 70′s both days. Tee times will begin at 11:00 am both days. See you there!

The Desert Junior Golf Tour was founded in the fall of 2002 and is a unique junior tour experience that allows boys and girls between the ages of 8-19 the opportunity to play nationally ranked junior golf tournaments.
